International Women's Day or International Women's Day is a global celebration that takes place on the eighth day of March every year, and is held to signify public respect, appreciation and love for women for their economic, political and social achievements. In some countries, such as China, Russia, and Cuba, women take leave on this day. The celebration of this occasion came after the holding of the first conference of the International Democratic Women’s Union, which was held in Paris in 1945. It is known that the International Democratic Women’s Union consists of the auxiliary organizations of the communist parties, and it was the first global celebration of International Women’s Day, although some researchers believe that International Women’s Day It was following some of the women's strikes that took place in the United States. In some places, the political aspect that accompanies Women's Day is overlooked, as the celebration resembles a mixture of Mother's Day and Valentine's Day. But in other places the celebration is often accompanied by a strong political feature and humanitarian slogans designated by the United Nations, to raise social awareness of the struggle for women globally. Some people celebrate this day by wearing pink ribbons.
